Hi! My name is Marcos Colina, I was born on June 1st, 1991 and I am 18 years old. I'm studying architecture at Simon Bolivar University. I'm interested in areas related to my career just like the seismic movements and the different architectural designs. Also I’m interested in music, movies and science fiction books. My hobbies are playing the guitar and drawing, these activities help me to relax. My personality is difficult, I’m a very closed man, and I am not use to have friends and it’s difficult for me to be with a lot of people. We are five parsons in my family: my mother, my father, my sister and my brother. Like I said before, I don't have a lot of friends but I still see and talk with my girlfriend and my old friends from high school, they are just like a second family for me.
My Name is Marcos Colina. I studied and graduated as an architect and urban planner from Simon Bolivar University at 2014. I have a Master degree in Architecture, and two PhDs; one in Seismic Architecture and another one in Sustainable Architecture. All my postgraduate degrees are from Oxford University, England.
Right now, I’m working at two architectural offices; Richard Meier Architects and at my own office: The E-Age Sustainable Architectural Office. At Richard Meier Architects we are developing projects for India and China, mainly apartment buildings and hospitals, and at my own office, we are developing projects such as hospitals, malls, and schools for Latin America and my own country, Venezuela.
My work on sustainable architecture focuses on the care of the Earth and on the construction of ecological buildings and houses; also, I help with projects around the world that need some advice in the seismological aspect before being constructed.
My plans for the future are to continue developing projects in Latin America and to help my own people and country to be another developed nation.
